Bring the Five-Needle Protocol (5NP) to the people you serve
The Five-Needle Protocol is a gentle form of auricular (ear) acupuncture — five small points on the outer ear — offering supportive, temporary relief from the symptoms of stress, substance-use recovery, mental-health challenges, and trauma. It's delivered as a calm, seated group session by an experienced, NADA-certified 5NP technician, serving the Medford, Talent, Phoenix & Ashland areas.
Why programs add 5NP
The protocol was developed at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx in the 1970s — inside an addiction-treatment program — and is now used in thousands of recovery, behavioral-health, disaster-relief, and community settings worldwide. It has stayed in those rooms for practical reasons: it's group-delivered and unhurried, it requires no equipment beyond chairs, it asks nothing of participants — no talking, no disclosure, no readiness — and it sits comfortably alongside counseling, groups, and clinical care rather than competing with any of it.
5NP offers supportive, temporary symptom relief. It is complementary care — it works alongside your program's clinical services, never in place of them.
Three ways to work together
On-site group sessions
We come to you. Your facility provides a quiet room and chairs; we bring everything else. Sessions fit into an hour-to-ninety-minute block and slot around your existing programming.
Sponsored session blocks
We host, you sponsor. Your organization gets a private booking link for the people you serve — they book free at our clinics, no charge to them for any outcome, and you receive one simple invoice.
Referrals & gift passes
The lightest touch: your clients book our public clinics directly, and staff, families, or your organization can gift sessions with passes that never expire.
What your team can expect
- A minimal footprint — a circle of chairs and an hour is genuinely all it takes.
- Participants stay fully clothed and seated; the only points involved are on the outer ear.
- No talking required of participants — accessible even on hard days.
- The needles are hair-thin, sterile, and single-use, and all materials are handled and disposed of properly.
- A short safety intake is handled at booking, so the room itself stays quiet and unhurried.
- Scheduling, reminders, and payment run through our online system — nothing lands on your staff.
Credentials & paperwork
Sessions are led by Fletcher, an experienced, NADA-certified 5NP technician — certified since 2021, with more than a thousand sessions delivered across group and individual settings. Certification and related documentation are available for your organization's compliance and credentialing process.
